Alumni Awards
There is no doubt that the collective contributions of all our residency and fellowship graduates, as well as faculty and researchers, are having a very positive impact on eye health throughout the world. However, there are also those few whose names are oft repeated among our global alumni community and whose feats have moved the profession forward in exceptional ways.
The University of Toronto's Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Sciences (DOVS) has created two awards to recognize their exemplary achievements.
Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award
The Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award was created in 2014 to recognize alumni who have excelled in the field of ophthalmology, including related leadership, teaching, or humanitarian endeavours, and whose accomplishments have brought distinction and honour to their alma mater.
