Helen Dimaras

My research program spans the disciplines of global health, cancer genetics and clinical science, and attempts to bridge them directly to patient care. Using the childhood eye cancer retinoblastoma as a model, we study approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing the global cancer survival gap. Current areas of interest include health services research for retinoblastoma; implementation of genetic testing and counselling in low-resource settings; and patient engagement in research.
