Dr. Arjmand completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in the immunology specialist where she was the recipient of the Heaslip scholarship at Trinity College. Subsequently, she completed a two-year Masters’ degree in Immunology at Sickkids Hospital at the University of Toronto. She then attended medical school at McMaster University followed by a 5-year ophthalmology residency training at the University of Ottawa at the Ottawa Eye Institute. Subsequently, she completed a 2-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship training at the University of Toronto (Sunnybrook and Toronto Western Hospitals) where she also served as the chief fellow. She works at the Mississauga Retina Institute, Burlington Laser Eye Centre, and Baycrest Health Sciences Centre. 

Dr. Arjmand’s research interests include retinal surgical technique innovation, AI in retinal imaging, and clinical trials.
