Visiting Professor Online Rounds

The University of Toronto Visiting Professor Round Series is a comprehensive Self-Assessment Program approved for credit by the Canadian Ophthalmology Society. This program began in January 2015.

This online program consists of modules focussed on key issues in ophthalmology, building on the Grand Rounds lectures from visiting professors (VPP). There is no fee to take these online courses. To take a course, click its link below and follow the instructions.

Each module consists of a lecture screencast video and two questionnaires – one before and one after the video. Clinical case vignettes will allow you to reflect upon your own practice and provide you with references and resources for future learning. After completion, you will receive a confirmation email with your answers and more information.

The video presentation includes the residents' cases presentation plus the VPP lecture. You are welcome to watch the resident presentation but the MOC credits are provided only for the VPP lecture portion of the video. The start and stop times of each VPP lecture are given on the video page of the module to help direct you to the presentation. The pre- and post-video questions are based only on the VPP lectures and do not include the resident cases.
